Fried Bangus in Miso Soup with Shrimp
(the Junatic way of cooking)
Ingredients:
1.2 lbs of Bangus
2 cups of oil
flour
salt and pepper
100 grams Miso
250 grams Shrimp
2 tbsp oil
3 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 medium garlic
3 pcs tomato
1 medium labanos
1 pc eggplant
6 pcs string beans
300 grams Mustasa leaves
3pcs green pepper
Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok
2 cups of water
2 cups of hugas-bigas
patis
salt and pepper
How to cook:
Bangus:
1. Mixed flour with salt and pepper.
2. Coat bangus with flour mixture.
3. Fry fish in oil until golden brown.
Miso Soup:
1. Saute garlic, onion, and ginger. and then add tomato. Mixed until the skin and meat of the tomato is separated.
2. Add Miso and saute for 5 minutes.
3. Put water and hugas-bigas, and boil for 15 minutes.
4. Put Knorr. Season with patis and bring to boil.
5. Add sitaw, eggplant, labanos and green pepper. Bring to boil for 2minutes.
6. Add Bangus, shrimp and mustasa leaves.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Boil until the vegetables are cook according to preference.
8. Serve hot with steamed rice.
Makes 5-6 servings.

Chicken Adobo sa Gata
Chicken Adobo sa Gata
(the Junatic way of cooking)
Ingredients:
1.6 lbs Chicken
1/4 cup vinegar
3 cloves of garlic
1 medium onion
1 medium ginger
5 stalks tanglad
1 medium papaya
400 mL coconut milk
3 pcs green pepper
3 tbsp patis
salt and pepper to taste
MSG
How to cook:
1. Instead of sauteing the chicken, mixed chicken, vinegar, garlic, ginger, onion, and tanglad together. Put generous amount of pepper, and some salt.
2. Simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Add the papaya, cut into bits, and the green pepper. Mixed.
4. Put the coconut milk. Boil for 5 minutes and mixed to avoid curdling.
5. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Mixed occasionally.
7. Season with salt and msg to taste.
6. Served hot with steamed rice.
Makes 8-10 servings.

March is the fire prevention month here in the Philippines. During this month is the highest number of fire cases. It is the time that summer starts and the temperature increases, and most people stay at home spending vacation with their appliances on, and the kitchen are busy all the time

For some TIPS on how to prevent fires at home:
Put phone numbers of fire department near phone. Eliminate fire hazards through goods housekeeping. Dispose waste paper, rubbish, and other flammable materials regularly. Keep matches out of the children’s reach.
Do not keep flammable materials like gasoline, alcohol, and paint inside the house.
